Frank was born on a beautiful summer day, June 14, 2017, in Charlotte, North Carolina. His first word was "Papa." He attended St. Martin's Episcopal Preschool and was an active member of the toddler class. He never turned down a snack or a swing, and he loved parks, bouncy balls, dogs, and all of life's simple pleasures. He is missed beyond belief.
Currently, medical science can’t explain why hundreds of children with no prior medical conditions, like Frank, die each year. There is limited awareness, research, and support for families who are left with no answers. Frank’s foundation is dedicated to changing this in his name and in the name of thousands of other children and families who have been impacted by unexplained pediatric deaths.
Our Mission:
Increase awareness of SUDC
Fund crucial research into the causes and prevention of SUDC
Support bereaved family services and those impacted by unexpected or unexplained loss
Celebrate the lives of children gone too soon
Research is the only way to effect change, find answers for families, and prevent future pediatric deaths with no explanation after thorough examination. This is why a significant portion of our giving is dedicated to advancing research into SUDC and to comprehensive and standardized investigations to assist research into all sudden unexpected pediatric deaths.
The impact of losing a child is devastating; families need support and consoling as they navigate their grief. The second major area we focus our giving on is towards programs that provide family services and support, as well as education to professionals to better assist those impacted by the loss of a child.
