2020 Highlights:
Our mission expands far beyond our family and Frank; we are honored to make grants in memory of other children gone too soon. This year, and moving forward, all grants from Frank’s foundation will be made in celebration of others. In 2020, we celebrated the lives of Corey Jones and Sid Cohen and advanced a joint mission with their families.
We granted $12,500 to the SUDC Foundation in honor of Corey Jones. This grant directly supports SUDC research via the SUDC Registry and Research Collaborative at NYU.
In partnership with the Cohen family, and in honor of their son Sid, we made a general grant and participated in a fundraising initiative for Kindermourn Charlotte, supporting the work they do with grieving families. Our direct grant of $5,000 was used as a donation matching incentive for this fundraising effort. With the matching incentive, we were able to raise an additional $7,880, bringing the grand total to $12,880 delivered to Kindermourn.
For Frank’s birthday, friends and family volunteered their time and assembled dozens of bikes for Thompson Child & Family Focus, a local nonprofit that provides safe transitional housing and mental health services for homeless children in Charlotte.
